Hyderabad: Gold and silver prices in Hyderabad witnessed an upward movement on Thursday, September 10, 2026, with both precious metals recording gains compared with their previous levels. The latest local market rates show a noticeable increase in the price of both 22-carat and 24-carat gold, while silver is also trading at a high level in the city.

According to the rates reported for Hyderabad on September 10, the price of 10 grams of 22-carat gold stands at Rs. 1,42,550. The rate has increased by Rs. 1,110 compared with the previous price. Meanwhile, 24-carat gold, which represents a higher level of purity, is priced at Rs. 1,55,510 for 10 grams, marking an increase of Rs. 1,200.

Silver is also trading at elevated levels in Hyderabad. The latest reported rate for silver is Rs. 2,55,000 per kilogram. Precious-metal prices, however, remain subject to frequent changes as domestic and international market conditions continue to influence the bullion market.

    Hyderabad Gold Rates Today

The rise in gold prices is being closely watched by buyers, investors and households preparing for weddings and other important occasions. Gold has traditionally remained one of the most preferred assets in India, serving both as jewellery and as a form of long-term financial holding.

For buyers in Hyderabad, the latest reported rates are:

    • 22-carat gold: Rs. 1,42,550 per 10 grams
    • Increase in 22-carat gold: Rs. 1,110
    • 24-carat gold: Rs. 1,55,510 per 10 grams
    • Increase in 24-carat gold: Rs. 1,200
    • Silver: Rs. 2,55,000 per kilogram

The difference between 22-carat and 24-carat gold primarily reflects purity. Twenty-four-carat gold is considered the purest commercially available form, while 22-carat gold contains a smaller proportion of other metals and is commonly used for jewellery because of its greater durability.

    Gold Prices Continue to Fluctuate

Gold prices have experienced considerable movement in recent weeks, with rates responding to changes in the international bullion market and other economic factors. The Hyderabad market, like other major Indian bullion markets, can see prices move several times during a trading day.

The rates reported on September 10 represent prices available around the morning reporting period. Buyers should therefore understand that the final price offered by a jeweller may differ depending on the time of purchase.

Jewellery prices can also be higher than the basic bullion rate because of additional charges. Making charges, taxes, wastage charges and other costs may be added when purchasing ornaments. As a result, the amount paid by a customer at a jewellery showroom may not be exactly the same as the quoted market rate for 10 grams of gold.

The reported prices should therefore be treated as an indication of the prevailing bullion market rather than a guaranteed final purchase price.

    Silver Also Remains Expensive

Silver continues to command a strong price in Hyderabad, with the latest reported rate reaching Rs. 2,55,000 per kilogram. Silver is widely used not only for jewellery and household articles but also in industrial applications, which means its price can be influenced by both investment demand and industrial consumption.

Like gold, silver prices are affected by international market movements, currency fluctuations and domestic demand. Any significant movement in global precious-metal markets can therefore have an impact on local prices.

Investors often monitor silver alongside gold when assessing the precious-metals market. While gold has traditionally been viewed primarily as a store of value, silver has both investment and industrial importance.

Why Gold Prices Change in India

Gold prices in India are influenced by several domestic and international factors. One of the major influences is the international price of gold. Since India imports a significant portion of the gold consumed domestically, changes in global prices can have a direct effect on local rates.

The value of the Indian rupee against the US dollar is another important factor. Because international gold transactions are largely denominated in US dollars, fluctuations in the rupee can affect the domestic cost of imported gold.

Import-related government policies and duties can also influence the final domestic price. In addition, demand from Indian consumers plays an important role, particularly during wedding seasons and major festivals when jewellery purchases traditionally increase.

Global economic uncertainty can also affect gold demand. Investors frequently turn toward precious metals during periods of financial or geopolitical uncertainty, potentially creating additional upward pressure on prices.

Hyderabad Remains a Major Jewellery Market

Hyderabad has a long-standing association with jewellery and precious metals. The city is home to numerous jewellery markets and established retailers serving customers from Hyderabad as well as surrounding areas.

Major jewellery shopping destinations include areas such as Panjagutta, Mehdipatnam, Tolichowki and Gulzar Houz. These locations have a large presence of jewellery businesses offering gold, silver, pearls and diamond ornaments.

The city is particularly known for its pearl trade, but gold jewellery remains a major part of the local retail market. Consumers can find a wide range of traditional and contemporary designs across jewellery stores in different parts of Hyderabad.

Among the jewellery establishments operating in the city are Jauhari Jewelers, Jagadamba Pearls, Krishna Pearls & Jewellers, Manepally Jewellers, More Jewellers, Tibarumal Jewels, Shree Jewellers, Shri Ram Jewellers and Mangatrai Pearls & Jewellers, among others.

Buyers Advised to Check Live Rates

Customers planning to purchase gold or silver should check the latest available rate immediately before completing a transaction. Morning rates can change during the day depending on movements in domestic and international markets.

Those purchasing jewellery should also ask the jeweller for a detailed price breakdown. The final bill may include the value of the gold, making charges, applicable taxes and other costs.

For investment-oriented buyers, it is equally important to compare prices from multiple sources and understand the difference between jewellery purchases and investment products. Jewellery includes manufacturing-related expenses that may not be recovered when the ornament is resold.

Gold can serve as a long-term asset, but its price is not guaranteed to move in one direction. Investors should therefore consider market conditions and their own financial objectives before making investment decisions.

Gold and Silver Outlook Remains Closely Watched

With gold prices remaining at elevated levels, market participants are continuing to monitor international bullion trends, currency movements and domestic demand. Any significant changes in global economic conditions could influence prices in Indian cities, including Hyderabad.

The latest Hyderabad rates show that both 22-carat and 24-carat gold moved higher on September 10, while silver remained at a substantial level. For consumers, the key takeaway is that precious-metal prices can change quickly, making it important to verify the current rate before buying.

The prices cited in this report are based on local market rates and are intended for informational purposes. Actual rates may vary between jewellery stores and can change during the day. Jewellery buyers should also take into account making charges, taxes and other applicable costs when calculating the final purchase price.
