    Fire Breaks Out on Tatanagar–Ernakulam Express in Andhra Pradesh, One Passenger Dies

    Yugcharan News — A tragic fire incident occurred in the early hours of Monday on the Tatanagar–Ernakulam Express in Andhra Pradesh, resulting in the death of one passenger. The blaze broke out in two air-conditioned coaches when the train was approaching Yelamanchili railway station under the Vijayawada division. Alert passengers noticed smoke and flames inside one of the coaches and immediately pulled the emergency chain, bringing the train to a halt.

     

    Railway officials confirmed that coaches B-1 and M-2 were severely damaged in the fire. Most passengers managed to escape in time, avoiding a larger tragedy. Emergency teams rushed to the spot, and the affected coaches were later detached from the train. Authorities have initiated an investigation to determine the exact cause of the fire, while restoration and safety checks were carried out to resume rail operations in the
