Samsung has officially introduced the Galaxy Z TriFold, a new foldable smartphone that expands into a 10-inch tablet-like display. Set to go on sale from December 12 in select markets, the device brings a three-way folding mechanism, positioning it as one of the most innovative additions to Samsung’s foldable lineup.

The Galaxy Z TriFold measures just 3.9 mm when unfolded, making it the thinnest foldable phone the company has released so far. However, the device weighs 309 grams, which is noticeably heavier due to its larger structure and mechanical components. When folded, the phone measures 12.9 mm in thickness.

One of the key highlights of the TriFold is its enhanced productivity experience. The device supports native DeX mode, allowing users to work with multiple apps in pop-up windows. It also enables three apps to run side by side, offering more flexibility compared to previous models that supported only two.

Powering the device is a 5600 mAh battery with 45W fast charging, capable of reaching 50% charge in about 30 minutes. Wireless charging support remains unchanged at 15W, along with Wireless PowerShare.

Samsung has retained premium materials, including Gorilla Glass Ceramic 2 for display protection and IP54-rated resistance against dust and water. The redesigned titanium hinge is aimed at improving durability and long-term reliability.

For photography enthusiasts, the Galaxy Z TriFold features a 200MP main camera, accompanied by ultra-wide and telephoto lenses, offering up to 100x zoom. The expansive inner display also makes on-the-go photo editing more comfortable.

Samsung’s latest foldable aims to blend the convenience of a smartphone with the versatility of a tablet, targeting users who prioritise productivity, creativity, and portability.
