Bengaluru Airport to Introduce New Passenger Pick-Up Rules From December 8

The Kempegowda International Airport (KIA) in Bengaluru will roll out a new lane-segregation system at its arrival pick-up zone starting December 8, as part of measures aimed at easing congestion and improving overall commuter experience.

According to the Bangalore International Airport Limited (BIAL), which operates KIA — India’s third-busiest airport — the facility handles nearly 1.3 lakh passengers daily. Officials said the updated pick-up arrangements are designed to streamline vehicle flow, enhance safety, and ensure better discipline in the arrival area across both terminals.

The improved system will apply to all passenger pick-ups and is expected to reduce crowding, a recurring issue during peak travel hours.

Further details on the exact lane structure and public guidelines are expected to be issued by the airport authorities in the coming days.
