Central Railway Limits Platform Ticket Sales at 13 Stations for Mahaparinirvan Diwas

Central Railway has announced temporary restrictions on the sale of platform tickets at 13 major stations to manage crowds during Mahaparinirvan Diwas. The decision will remain in effect from December 5 to December 7.

Large numbers of people visit Chaityabhoomi in Dadar every year to pay homage to Dr. B. R. Ambedkar on his death anniversary. To ensure smooth crowd management, platform ticket sales will be curtailed at key locations.

The railway authorities clarified that tickets will still be available for those accompanying elderly passengers, senior citizens, ailing persons, children, illiterate passengers, and women who require assistance.

In Mumbai, the restrictions apply at Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus and Dadar. Other affected stations include Bhusaval, Nashik Road, Manmad, Jalgaon, Akola, Shegaon, Pachora, Badnera, Malkapur, Chalisgaon, and Nagpur.
