Delhi Air Quality Remains ‘Very Poor’ Across Most Areas

Delhi continued to face unhealthy air conditions on Wednesday, with the Air Quality Index (AQI) staying in the very poor range across large parts of the city. Data from monitoring stations showed pollution levels close to the severe category in several industrial and traffic-heavy zones.

Bawana recorded one of the highest AQI readings at 378, followed by Mundka, Pusa, Rohini and Wazirpur, all reporting levels above 360. Central and residential areas such as Chandni Chowk, Punjabi Bagh, Patparganj and North Campus of Delhi University also remained in the very poor category.

Even areas with comparatively lower pollution, including IGI Airport T3, Lodhi Road and Aya Nagar, continued to record poor air quality. The citywide situation highlighted persistent smog and reduced visibility, raising health concerns, especially for vulnerable groups.

Pollution levels showed no significant improvement, indicating that residents remain exposed to prolonged periods of unhealthy air across the national capital.
