    Chamoli (Uttarakhand) | November 30, 2025 — Yugcharan News

A mild earthquake measuring 3.7 on the Richter scale was detected in Chamoli district on Sunday morning, according to data shared by the National Centre for Seismology (NCS). The tremor was recorded at 10:27 a.m. at a depth of 5 km.

The NCS posted the details on X, noting the coordinates as latitude 30.19°N and longitude 79.48°E. Officials said the epicentre was located within Chamoli district, an area known for its seismic sensitivity.

No immediate reports of damage or injuries have been received so far. Authorities are monitoring the situation, and further information is expected once field assessments are completed.

Chamoli and several other regions in Uttarakhand frequently experience low-intensity tremors due to the state’s location in a tectonically active Himalayan zone.
