Delhi Air Quality Remains ‘Very Poor’ as AQI Stays High Across City

Delhi continued to face severe air pollution on Wednesday, with most monitoring stations recording Air Quality Index (AQI) levels in the very poor category. Several areas came close to the severe mark, raising health concerns for residents.

Bawana recorded the highest AQI at 378, followed by Mundka (370), Pusa (365), Rohini (364), and locations such as ITO, Wazirpur, Nehru Nagar, Jahangirpuri and NSIT Dwarka, all above 360. Many residential and commercial areas, including Ashok Nagar, Vivek Vihar, Sirifort, RK Puram and Dwarka Sector 8, also reported very poor air quality.

Even relatively less congested zones like Lodhi Road and CRRI Mathura Road hovered near the poor–very poor threshold. The lowest AQI levels were reported at IHBAS, Dilshad Garden (247) and Mandir Marg (257), which still fell in the poor category.

Overall, pollution levels remained elevated across the national capital, reflecting persistent air quality challenges.
