Siddaramaiah and DK Shivakumar Display Unity After Breakfast Meeting Amid Leadership Buzz

    Bengaluru | November 29, 2025 — Yugcharan News

Karnataka Chief Minister Siddaramaiah and Deputy Chief Minister DK Shivakumar projected a united front on Saturday after a breakfast meeting at the CM’s residence, easing speculation of a leadership divide within the state Congress.

The meeting, arranged following guidance from the party high command, comes at a time when conversations around a possible leadership change have resurfaced in state political circles.

Speaking to reporters after the interaction, Siddaramaiah firmly dismissed suggestions of internal differences.
“Our focus is on the 2028 elections and local body polls. We discussed our plans and agreed to move forward together. There are no differences between us, and there will not be any,” he said.

He added that the Karnataka Congress will continue to follow the directives of the central leadership.
“There is no confusion. Some reports have created unnecessary noise. We will follow whatever the high command decides,” the Chief Minister noted.

Siddaramaiah also brushed aside talk of the opposition planning a no-confidence challenge.
“The BJP and JD(S) often make claims without basis. Their numbers are far below ours. We will respond to their allegations,” he said.

Shivakumar, who joined Siddaramaiah during the briefing, echoed the message of unity. Calling himself a committed worker of the party, he said he would visit New Delhi whenever required by the leadership.
“On the leadership matter, we follow the decision of the high command. We are loyal to the party. Karnataka will play a key role in the coming years, and we are confident of returning to power in 2028,” he stated.

Both leaders also shared photographs from the meeting on social media, describing their discussion as productive and focused on the state’s development priorities.

The renewed display of camaraderie comes at a time when supporters of both leaders have been vocal about their preferences for the top post, especially as Siddaramaiah crossed the halfway mark of his tenure this month. Party workers aligned with Shivakumar have recently reiterated their expectation of a transition based on commitments reportedly made during the 2023 Assembly elections.
