Dense Fog Disrupts Flights and Trains in Delhi for Seventh Consecutive Day

Thick fog continued to blanket Delhi and large parts of north India, severely affecting air and rail travel for the seventh straight day as visibility dropped sharply across the region. More than 100 flights were cancelled and over 500 delayed at the Indira Gandhi International Airport, while over 50 trains ran behind schedule under Northern Railway. Weather officials attributed the conditions to an active western disturbance, which also brought snowfall to Jammu & Kashmir, Ladakh and Himachal Pradesh. Although air quality showed slight improvement, pollution levels remained in the “very poor” category, with haze expected to persist for at least two more days.
