South Africa won the toss and elected to bowl in the second ODI against India at the Shaheed Veer Narayan Singh International Stadium on Wednesday.

Skipper Temba Bavuma, returning to the side after missing the opening match, introduced three changes to the playing XI. Keshav Maharaj, Lungi Ngidi, and Bavuma himself were included in place of Prenelan Subrayen, Ryan Rickelton, and Ottniel Baartman.

India, leading the three-match series 1–0, decided to continue with the same lineup that played the first ODI.

The toss also extended an unusual sequence for India—this was the team’s 20th consecutive toss loss in One-day Internationals.
