Delhi CM Rekha Gupta, Ministers Offer Prayers at Golden Temple

Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta and her Cabinet ministers visited the Golden Temple in Amritsar on Monday to offer prayers. Gupta said she had come to express gratitude following the successful organisation of Guru Tegh Bahadur’s 350th martyrdom anniversary event held at the Red Fort in Delhi.

She was accompanied by ministers Parvesh Sahib Singh, Ashish Sood, Kapil Mishra, Ravindra Indraj, and Manjinder Singh Sirsa. During the visit, Gupta also performed sewa by cleaning utensils at the Golden Temple premises along with minister Sirsa.

In a post on X, Gupta wrote that bowing her head at Sri Harmandir Sahib brought her peace, adding that she prayed for continued blessings. Sirsa also shared that the visit filled him with a sense of calm and spiritual presence.

Gupta referred to the recent Gurmat Samagam at the Red Fort as an “extraordinary success,” noting that the three-day event, attended by over six lakh devotees, took place without disruption despite a terror incident the previous day.

Later in the day, Gupta and her ministers also visited the Durgiana Temple in Amritsar. At the Shri Guru Ramdas International Airport, she was received by local BJP leaders led by district president Harvinder Singh Sandhu.
