Delhi High Court Rules in Favour of Ramadoss; Anbumani Has No Claim Over PMK, Says G.K. Mani

Pattali Makkal Katchi (PMK) president G.K. Mani announced that the Delhi High Court has ruled in favour of party founder Dr. S. Ramadoss, declaring that the faction led by Anbumani Ramadoss has “nothing to do with the PMK.” Speaking at Thailapuram near Tindivanam, he said that Dr. Ramadoss would continue to lead the party, decide alliances, and retain the party’s official recognition and symbol.

Mr. Mani stated that PMK would regain its traditional ‘mango’ symbol and contest the upcoming Assembly elections under it. He accused the Election Commission of India of committing irregularities by recognising the rival faction, claiming that Mr. Anbumani had submitted forged documents and misrepresented facts, including falsifying the date of a general council meeting to extend his term beyond May 2025.

He also criticised the ECI for sending communications to Anbumani’s Chennai address based on these misrepresentations and urged the Commission to remain “neutral and vigilant” to prevent similar issues in the future. Mani appealed to all PMK cadres, including those who shifted to the rival group, to return to the founder’s faction.
