    IndusInd Bank Chairman Sunil Mehta to Step Down in January Amid Losses and Restructuring

    IndusInd Bank Chairman Sunil Mehta has announced he will resign at the end of his term in January, following a period of significant financial and governance challenges at the private lender. The bank reported its largest-ever quarterly loss of ₹2,328.9 crore due to higher provisioning and accounting issues, which earlier prompted the resignation of former CEO Sumant Kathpalia and Deputy CEO Arun Khurana. Since Rajiv Anand became CEO in August 2025, the bank has initiated an organisational overhaul, appointing new senior executives to address gaps, improve oversight, and restore investor confidence
