New Delhi: Political activity in the national capital intensified on Tuesday night as Maharashtra Deputy Chief Minister and Shiv Sena leader Eknath Shinde met Union Home Minister Amit Shah, triggering fresh speculation over the much-anticipated expansion and reshuffle of the Union Council of Ministers. The high-level meeting comes at a time when the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP)-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is believed to be finalising its strategy for strengthening political representation ahead of upcoming electoral challenges across several states.

According to political sources, the meeting focused on the proposed Union Cabinet expansion, representation of Shiv Sena in the Central Government, and several development-related issues concerning Maharashtra.
